Get the most from your training sessions at Premier Performance SquashWhat makes PPS Egypt from summer camps and adventure programs?This is not a summer camp; this a squash training session led by some of the leading squash coaches. You will train in the style of today’s top juniors. The training session is follow up by additional onsite training/coaching while playing at the Dutch Junior Open. We do take some down time to explore the bustling cities of Cairo and Amsterdam, visiting destinations selected by the trainees.Who participates in PPS Egypt?PPS Egypt welcomes strong squash players, in good physical condition, who wish to improve their squash. You must be at least 14 years old to enroll.How many participants attend each session?The sessions have a maximum of 16 participants. We split the participants into like-level groups, based on ability. The groups work through three general sessions, focusing on technique, gamesmanship, and fitness.Who are the instructors?Our instructors are experienced squash professionals and coaches. The instructors are selected in order to provide the optimal mix of skills to take your squash to the next level. The coach-to-participant ratio in each group will ensure intensive training for everybody. Our team is well knowledgeable not about squash, but also fitness, sports psychologist, nutrition. Karim Darwish, 2009 World Number 1, will be the lead instructor for the Egypt Ttraining Session. How grueling will it be?The focus is squash. Participants will train between three and six hours each day. We expect participants to be serious dedicated squash players. Our team has years of experience working with different level trainees - and will tailor the session based on the groups ability and goals. You will also benefit from professional fitness sessions, classroom sessions focused on studying theoretical game tactics, and exhibition play with a Q&A session. We set up this well-rounded program to give you intense training on and off the court that you can carry with you long after you leave us.Is it all just squash?We all need down time to rest and relax. Once the participants arrive, we plan down-time activities, based on the group's preferences - including, but not limited to hiking, fishing, swimming at the campus pool, intramural style sports, golfing at the Whitetail Golf Resort, or just staying in to watch a movie.LogisticsWhat should I bring with me to the Trip?We encourage trainees to travel light – just bring your essentials. Please do not bring valuables, as we cannot be responsible for loss or theft. Make sure to pack the following:
Where do you eat?We provide all meal either at the lodging, club or selected restaurants. If you have special dietary needs, be sure to notify our office during your enrollment process.How much spending money should I bring?In order to cover personal items bring no more than $100 per week. We recommend you bring traveler's checks, cash, or a credit card. We will assist you with currency conversion upon arrival.Do I need a Passport/Visa?A passport is required. Depending on your country of citizenship, you may need a visa to enter Egypt and the Netherlands. Please contact us for details. Make two copies of your passport, leave one at home and carry one in your luggage.\Non-USA students must check local visa requirement and re-entry requirements to the United StatesWhat kind of Insurance coverage is recommended for participants?Two types of insurance are available:
Which Health and Vaccinations forms are needed?Contact your family physician for the most up-to-date health information. We will help you to know any required vaccinations or precautions for the country that you are visiting.How do I call home?Once we arrive at each destination, we will arrange for you to call home. We encourage you to NOT call home regularly as this is distracting to your experience. In an emergency we will contact your family. Calling home once a week, or a quick email is fine – but please limit your contact home..How many pieces of luggage should I bring with me?Each airline has their own luggage allowances. We ask trainees to travel light. Do remember to bring a squash bag for your daily training session.Will I be safe?Your safety is our first priority. Aside from the mature experience squash staff, we employ local country specific experts to unsure your experience more enjoyable and safe.What rules should be aware of?The rules of designed to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Violating these results will result in immediate dismal without refund. If you cannot abide by these rules, you should not join.

Also we will provide you contact information for group leader for the trip – for emergency contact only.Fees and Reimbursement PolicyHow much is it to enroll?Students are required to pay a non-refundable tuition deposit of $500.What does the tuition cover?The tuition covers all accommodation expenses, food, courts fees, insurance to international destinations, and all transportation.What is not included in the tuition?Airfare to the start and end point, personal insurance and personal expenses. We encourage all participants to purchase airline tickets through our office in order to receive a group rate, and ensure all participants fly together.What is the Refund Policy:Prior to May 1, all tuition, except $500, is fully refundable. Cancellations must be made in writing. After May 15, there are no refunds unless the vacant spot is filled. Unless covered by insurance, campers sent home for medical reasons or at the discretion of the camper, family, trip leader or Premier Performance Squash will not receive a refund. Campers sent home for breaking any part of the participation agreement are not eligible for a refund. We reserve the right to cancel any trip before the date of departure. If cancellation should occur you have the option of a complete refund or transfer to another program. |
