How many participants attend each session?

The sessions have a maximum of 30 participants. We split the participants into like-level groups, based on ability. We try to maintain a maximum of 10 per group to increase effectiveness of the workout and to maximize personal attention. The groups work through three general sessions, focusing on technique, gamesmanship, and fitness.

How many coaches will attend each session?

The coach-to-participant ratio in each session will ensure intensive training for everybody. Each session will have one head squash coaches, two currently-playing professionals, and a number of assistant coaches - based on the size of the training session. Our team is well knowledgeable not about squash, but also fitness, sports psychologist, nutrition.

All trainees are given one on one court time with Karim Darwish - lessons, game play and critique.

How grueling will it be?

This is a training session - not a "camp." Your entire day will be focused on improving your squash skills and taking your game to the next level. All of the coaches are very experienced. The large staff and small session sizes are an added bonus that allows for more individual attention.

Players will have at least two on-court training sessions each day, each lasting two hours. You will also benefit from professional fitness sessions, classroom sessions focused on studying theoretical game tactics, and exhibition play with a Q&A session. We set up this well-rounded program to give you intense training on and off the court that you can carry with you long after you leave us.

Is it all just squash?

We all need down time to rest and relax. Once the participants arrive, we plan down-time activities, based on the group's preferences - including, but not limited to hiking, fishing, swimming at the campus pool, intramural style sports, golfing at the Whitetail Golf Resort, or just staying in to watch a movie.

Tell me about the supervision.

PPS counselors will oversee the participants at all times. Members of PPS staff sleep in the dorm, and will be available to supervise and assist with any issues or problems that arise in off-peak hours.

What should the campers bring with them to camp?

  • PPSquash will provide bedding kit (linen, pillow, blanket), wash cloth and towels. Please bring your own if you prefer.
  • Squash clothes - you can never have too much
  • squash equipment: squash shoes, eye guards, squash racquets (minimum of two)
  • Running shoes
  • Bathing suit
  • Comfortable clothes for night activities
  • Spending money (no more than $100).
